20onepixels is the one page online portfolio and visual playground of David M Dillon, a 30 year
old creative and enthusiastic thinker, design director, multidiciplinary digital artist, Illustrator,
and designer. I am currently living in Chicago and working as design director at
Americaneagle.com.
My main passion and occupation is graphic and web design. Since my childhood I used to draw all
the time. As an adolescent, I chose Marist High School
based on its reputation of creative classes.
I later received my BFA from Northern Illinios University
with an emphasis in Illustration. At the age
of 18, when I was introduced into computers, influenced by music covers, artworks and music itself,
I started creating my first digital artworks. Almost instantly, it turned into a real passion.
From content-oriented to abstract design, bold shapes to fine details, multicolor and refreshing
graphics, minimal to maximal approach, progressive to retro attitude, My design can challenge any
belief, using imagination and hard work.
I have been fortunate to work with some really cool people over the last six years. In 2001,
I got my first job from an excellent technology consulting firm
Keno Kozie designing and maintaining
web sites. In 2003, I was fortunate to land with Americaneagle.com,
one of the largest web developers
in the Chicagoland area. Within a few short years, I was lucky enough to be promoted to Senior Designer
and now Design Director.
I'm a Jack of all Trades and master of none. I specialize in graphic design, interface design, information architecture
and illustration. I hand code all my HTML, Javascript and CSS. I am a sketcher, painter and digital artist. I have a basic knowledge
of Flash, Cold Fusion as well as server side software such as IIS and SQL Server.
